In 1972, Ferdinand Alexander, one of the Porsche sons, started a design company in the small mountain town of Zell am See in Austria. It was supposed to sell lifestyle products, that everyone just called ”Porsche Design”. In the beginning, importance was attached to sunglasses and wrist watches in the sporty designs, but throughout the years the company developed into a large design house that developed an incredible number of products within shoes, clothing, household, etc.

To mark their 50th anniversary, they have developed a special 911 model in colla- boration with Porsche AG: the Porsche 911 Targa GTS edition Porsche Design.

This is a special model which will be produced in 2022/2023 in a limited number of 750 units. with a wide equipment package and ”Porsche Design” written on the side and with the logo in several significant places on and inside the car.

The car is supplied with the sports design package in high-gloss black with the Targa bar in platinum (silk gloss). There are Turbo S rims in the same platinum colour with centre mounted nut and black lacquered high-gloss brake callipers. There is a sport-tex interior with extra leather and seating surfaces in the classic checkered Pepita pattern in black/cool grey. In the centre armrest, made of fine leather, F.A. Porsche’s signature is embossed.

One of the first products developed by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche was the now iconic exclusive Chronograph 1 watch, launched in 1972.

In connection with the anniversary, this production has been relaunched in an updated edition that is limited and numbered from 1-750 with the numbering marked with a small plaque on the car. All models are suppled in colour code 2T1V tief schwarz metallic and the whole combination of the colour choices in both exterior and interior make the car incredibly exclusive.
