After numerous requests, the Turbo Cabriolet model was finally launched on the market from August 1986. From the 1978 model, the 3.3-l engine had been introduced, which conti- nued until the last 1989 model. This car performed 300 hp. The last major customer request from the market was fulfilled in the very last production year; namely to get a 5-speed gearbox in the Turbo Coupé and Cabriolet editions
History
My specimen of the Turbo Cabriolet was produced in May 1988 and is completely original as when it was delivered in the Grand Prix white code 908 and with black leather interior and black Cabrio top. It has matching numbers on the engine and gearbox.
The car was sold from new in the US but was later exported to Germany, where it drove for many years.
I bought it in 2018 as a long-term investment car. As I believe these Turbo Cabriolet G models, which were only produced for a few years, will start to increase in value. And it is the nicest G model Cabrio 911!
