Porsche 911 1996 CARRERA 40-YEARS ANNIVERSARY MODEL

Porsche

Car No. 116

7/2004

Motor: 3,6 l

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 911 edition, Porsche launched a special version from the end of 2003 limited to 1,963 specimens all with special equipment and 40th anniversary logo.

It was a 911 Carrera 2 S with a 3.6-l engine, but with the X51 tuning package, which resulted in 340 hp, grey leather interior and specially machined 18” Carrera 2 wheels., The Turbo bumper was mounted up front, and N030 undercarriage was installed. The car was only available in one colour – the exclusive Carrera GT silver colour. The car was also supplied with a 40-year suitcase set consisting of two suitcases fitting directly into the front luggage compartment. The suitcases were made of leather in the same colour as the interior.

About half the number of this limited production of the anniversary model was sold to the North American market

History

My specimen was originally sold to Italy and delivered there on 20 July 2004. It is thus one of the early models, and it is number 198 out of the 1,963 vehicles.

The car is completely original and has less than 100,000 km on the clock.

I bought the car in July 2015 and had it registered on Danish number license plates for almost all the years since.

The car is with full services.

The suitcases that are often missing are supplied with this car.

The Porsche 996 model has never meant much to me, but the anniversary model is one of the editions that will increase a bit when the 996 editions start to increase. At the same time, I think it is one of the most beautiful combinations with the colour inside and out and with an engine that has slightly more hp than the standard version.
